CPA welcomes Regulatory Horizons Council report
The CPA has welcomed a new report from the Regulatory Horizons Council on Genetic Technologies.

The report makes recommendations on how the UK can support innovation in genetic technologies through regulatory and non-regulatory changes.

CPA CEO Dave Bench said;

“We welcome this report which marks an important milestone on the path to the eventual introduction of innovative genetic technologies to the UK market. We have long advocated a regulatory approach that is proportionate, risk-based, and rooted in the best available science.

“Innovation in agri-tech, including genetic technologies, has a fundamental role to play in meeting one of the great challenges of our time, helping farmers grow healthy, affordable, and sustainable food whilst helping respond to the challenges of climate change and delivering benefits to the environment.”
