CPA response to Defra's agricultural transition plan
Today in a speech at an Oxford Farming Conference webinar, the Environment Secretary George Eustice launched the government's "Path to sustainable farming: An agricultural transition plan 2021-24". The CPA has issued the following response.

“The publication of the transition plan and the speech from the Secretary of State at today’s Oxford Farming Conference webinar set out an ambitious and aspirational plan to develop the UK into a world leader in sustainable agriculture.

“If the aims of this plan are to be successful, the CPA and its members will have a key role to play in developing the agricultural technologies and plant science innovations needed to support the transition to this new model of farming.

“We look forward to meeting the challenge and working with the government to make this vision a reality.”
