Concept Reply, part of the Reply Group and a specialist in Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, has joined forces with agricultural technology consortium DKE-Data to launch the upgraded agrirouter platform, agrirouter 2.0. This latest version is designed to enhance data management, connectivity, and usability for farmers globally, marking a significant step forward in smart farming.
Agrirouter 2.0 allows farmers to control and manage the exchange of data between machines and software applications from multiple manufacturers along the agricultural value chain. By using standardised data formats, the platform streamlines communication between different systems, enabling more efficient farming practices.
Concept Reply was commissioned by DKE-Data to transform agrirouter’s previous SAP Leonardo-based infrastructure into a modern, scalable, and user-friendly solution. Farmers can now integrate data from machines and software platforms with minimal disruption to their operations. One of the key innovations is the platform’s ability to support precision farming through integrated telemetry data and GPS, which aids in data-driven decision-making and resource optimisation.
The platform is expected to boost efficiency by enabling site-specific seed and fertiliser applications, improving yields while supporting compliance with sustainable production standards. Dr. Johannes Sonnen, Managing Director of DKE-Data, highlighted the impact of agrirouter 2.0: “Our collaboration with Reply has modernised the platform, making it more stable and efficient. Farmers can now exchange data seamlessly, improving operational processes and driving long-term economic success.”
The new platform’s backend has been upgraded to increase speed, performance, and usability. Farmers can now benefit from a more intuitive interface and simplified data access. DKE-Data is also planning to introduce a single sign-on procedure to make it easier for users to manage their data. The integration of remote control features from agricultural software solutions and machine manufacturers’ portals is also under consideration.
The agrirouter platform is designed to allow farmers, contractors, and consultants to continuously optimise their production processes, while meeting legal, economic, and environmental requirements. By facilitating interoperability between agricultural machinery and software products, agrirouter 2.0 helps ensure that farmers can adopt the latest digital solutions without having to overhaul existing systems.
Concept Reply developed agrirouter 2.0 using a greenfield approach, meaning the transition to the new system did not require farmers to reconfigure their equipment or farm management software. This smooth integration ensures that agricultural operations can continue without interruption—a critical requirement for today’s fast-paced farming industry.
Agrirouter has already been adopted by over 5,000 users, with 150 new farmers joining the platform each month, according to DKE-Data. The platform is part of a growing trend towards digital agriculture, where the ability to manage large volumes of data is increasingly important for success.
Concept Reply, a specialist in IoT and cloud computing, focuses on providing end-to-end solutions for industries including automotive, manufacturing, and smart infrastructure. Its collaboration with DKE-Data is part of a broader effort to harness IoT technology to drive greater efficiency and innovation in agriculture.
Agrirouter 2.0 is expected to play a pivotal role in the future of farming, helping farmers across the globe improve their productivity and stay competitive in a rapidly evolving sector.
