The Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) is preparing to host an exciting Korean Pavilion at SIAL Paris 2024, which will run from 19th to 23rd October at the Parc des Expositions de Paris-Nord Villepinte. This year’s event features an impressive 76 Korean companies showcasing a diverse array of agricultural and food products aimed at global buyers seeking innovative and health-conscious solutions.
Located in Hall 4 (Stand 4 L120) and Hall 7 (Stand 7 K259), the Korean Pavilion will present traditional and contemporary Korean food items, including a selection of fermented sauces, kimchi, noodles, ready meals, beverages, ginseng, and vegan products. This selection underscores the increasing global demand for plant-based and eco-friendly foods.
Korean Cuisine Gains Popularity in Europe
The rising popularity of Korean cuisine in Europe can be attributed to its appealing combination of health benefits and robust flavours. Major retailers, including Carrefour and Monoprix, have started stocking a variety of Korean products, providing consumers with greater access to this culinary trend. The Pavilion at SIAL Paris presents a unique opportunity for visitors to engage directly with producers, sample their offerings, and establish valuable business connections.
Korean food’s reputation as a healthy, sustainable option aligns well with the growing interest in vegan and plant-based diets across Europe. The versatility of Korean cuisine has been embraced by chefs throughout the continent, further enhancing its appeal.
A Diverse Range of Products on Display
Ms. Nam Sanghui, Director of the aT Center Paris, expressed enthusiasm about the event, stating, “We are excited to showcase the true diversity of Korean products at SIAL Paris 2024.
